Ashes To Ashes

It's been a while since I've had a loop. As I got in my car this morning I had a little bit of "Ashes To Ashes" by David Bowie looping around; just little enough that I couldn't quite remember what song it was. I finally eked it out and was soon enjoying the song on my car stereo.

Well, it's been with me all day today. It's so far ingrained right now that despite my best efforts to remember the tune to "Shiny Happy People" by R.E.M., I can only supplant Bowie's lyrics with those of Mr. Stipe.

Now it's like he's mocking me: "I'm happy, hope you're happy too." Well, I'm not. Thankyouverymuch.

I Do

No, I'm not getting married. "I Do" is a song by Chingy. Yes, the same man who brought us "Right Thurr." If you know me at all, you know I'm not particularly into mainstream hiphop. Generally I abhor the stuff, but a little game series called "Need For Speed: Underground" has a penchant for including a few hit contemporary hiphop songs in each release. Well, last time I got to hear "Get Low" by the ever krunk Lil Jon and the East Side Boys, and with the sequel I've been given the gift that is Chingy and his "I Do."

Honestly, I have no idea what he's saying, so I've got what amounts to gibberish floating all up in tharr.

Robots

"The humans are dead." "Affirmative." Yes, my brain has been invaded by the New Zealand pop-comedy duo Flight Of The Conchords and their song "Robots." It's a delightful song about how the humans over-worked the robots and so the robots killed us. Binary solo: 000000001. Check out a live performance here:
